About Us
The NOFA Interstate Council provides coordination between the chapters, conducts the annual NOFA Summer Conference and acts as an umbrella organization for projects of collective concern to NOFA chapters, such as the Northeast Interstate Organic Certification Committee.
Each of the seven state chapters comprising the Northeast Organic Farming Association provides educational conferences, workshops, farm tours and printed materials to educate farmers, gardeners, consumers and land care professionals.
Support Us
Interstate NOFA’s regional and national policy program has to rely on outside funding – yet in these gilt edged times even organic-friendly business and foundation support for policy work remains a scarce commodity.
With organic integrity under siege from ventures looking to cash in on the label, a bona-fide grassroots food and farming voice is now more important than ever. NOFA is not just for farmers — Food Policy is everyone’s business!
Thankfully, NOFA members are stepping up with contributions that keep our lean & green policy program functioning.
The Natural Farmer
The Natural Farmer (TNF) is the quarterly, in-print magazine of the Northeast Organic Farming Association (NOFA), nearly forty years old! In alignment with NOFA’s mission, TNF features organic farming techniques, certification issues, environmental developments as they impact farmers and growers, issues of food justice, and other topics of interest to the Northeast organic community.
