The Natural Farmer is the newspaper of the Northeast Organic Farming Association (NOFA). It is published quarterly in a 32 to 40 page newsprint journal. The paper covers news of the organic movement nationally and internationally, as well as featuring stories about farmers from New England, New York and New Jersey. Each issue contains a 16 to 24 page pull out supplement on a particular crop or topic. The paper also contains how-to-do-it articles suitable for gardeners and homesteaders.

Advertising Guidelines

The Natural Farmer does accept advertisements, to be displayed in the print version of The Natural Farmer (The Natural Farmer does not display ads in its online format). The rates and information are below:

Display Ads - this is for those offering products or services on a regular basis! You can get real attention with display ads. Send camera ready copy to Sabrina Nye, 34 Abbott St., Springfield, MA 01118 ((860) 816-0873 or nyes@comcast.net) and enclose a check for the appropriate size. The sizes and rates are:

Note: These prices are for camera ready copy. If you want any changes we will be glad to make them - or to type set a display ad for you - for $25 extra. Just send us the text, any graphics, and a sketch of how you want it to look. Include a check for the space charge plus $25.

Frequency discounts: if you buy space in several issues you can qualify for substantial discounts off these rates. Pay for two consecutive issues and get 10% off each, pay for 3 and get 20% off, or pay for 4 and get 25% off. An ad in the NOFA Summer Conference Program Book counts as a TNF ad for purposes of this discount.

Deadlines: We need your ad copy one month before the publication date of each issue. The deadlines are:

• January 31 for the Spring issue
• April 30 for the Summer issue
• July 31 for the Fall issue
• October 31 for the Winter issue

Sponsorships: Individuals or organizations wishing to sponsor The Natural Farmer may do so with a payment of $200 for one year (4 issues). In return, we will thank the sponsor in a special area of page 3 of each issue, and feature the sponsor's logo or other small insignia.
